DEMOCRACY MUST BE LEARNED BY EACH GENERATION

Since 1948, our program has lived by the motto, "democracy must be learned by each generation." We seek to grow the next generation of civically engaged Californians - youth who will grow up to be voters who engage in their communities, read a newspaper, and who become - and support - servant leaders. We are called to empower all youth, regardless of demonstrated financial need. We can't answer the call without your help.
  • “Our son has grown and evolved into a conscious thinker with more understanding of the world around him and he’s become inspired to enter public service to help others.” - First-Year Delegate Parent
  • The sense of community was the best ... [It] was wonderful to hear different thoughts and share our experiences. I am grateful I was able to feel that way and have a space to express myself.” - First-Year Delegate
  • “Wow! As a first timer, Bill Hearing night was humbling and inspiring seeing all the hardworking delegates in action and witnessing their success in their research and collaborative efforts. We’re so grateful our child had the opportunity to be amongst young aspiring future world citizen leaders.” - Returning Delegate Parent
